The first time I delivered a healthy newborn infant to a first-time mother, the feeling was amazing. I was hooked and grateful that I made the right decision in becoming a physician. Growing up with a loving mother and three wonderful sisters, I learned at an early age the importance of attentiveness and patience when it comes to a woman's concerns.
My goal is to make each patient interaction both personal and special. Whether it's their first pregnancy or third gynecologic consultation, I make it a point to listen for what I can learn from each story.
Obstetrics and gynecology is one of the few fields of medicine in which a doctor can share in so many milestones in a woman's life. I am truly honored each time I am allowed to be part of my patient's birthing experience. And I feel equally blessed to have the training and skills to positively impact a woman's life. My philosophy has always been to place a patient's needs first. I know that if I continue to do that, I will have made each patient that I've served proud to call me their doctor.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and camping at national parks with my wife, Cindy.
