Biography

I have a special interest in screening patients for risk factors of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. I also see patients suffering with depression, headaches, attention deficit disorder, back and neck pain and arthritis. I enjoy long-term relationships with my patients and treat them all like family. I have a strong interest in diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia, and in helping patients manage these common metabolism challenges. I employ traditional medication, but am open to using many natural remedies for these conditions.

I started thinking about becoming a physician during a summer mission experience in Haiti after my third year of college. I lived with a physician that summer and was hooked after learning about worldwide needs for preventive medicine.

In my spare time, I love photography and travel and I swim nearly every day. I help support a small community in rural Peru outside Cuzco with regular medical teams and ongoing ministry to the people of the area.
