Danielle was just 19 when a tragic accident changed everything. Thanks to the support of loving friends, Danielle not only survived but also found new purpose and meaning in her life. She currently serves as a role model for individuals through the Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Wounded Warriors Program.
Joe was born with a congenital pulmonary disorder, which has created difficult health challenges throughout his life. With help from the Sharp Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, Joe learned to improve his stamina and build his strength. In 2011, he finally received a lung transplant. His positive spirit carries him through life and inspires others along the way.
At 43, Alex suffered a second stroke, resulting in right-side weakness and cognitive deficits. Determined to recover, he worked hard to regain his strength and walk independently. Alex stays motivated through his love of music, and encourages others to pursue their passions.
