I’m a lead clinical nurse. I do, you know, basically have two careers. I’m a naval nurse corps officer and I’m a Sharp HealthCare lead nurse.
And that’s wonderful, the work life balance that Sharp has … has afforded me has been excellence. I love my career, both my civilian lead career here at Sharp HealthCare and also love my … my naval officer career, my naval nurse corps officer career.
Just about a month ago now I received a call from the mobilization officer in Washington D.C. stating that I was going to Kandahar, Afghanistan, for seven months. When I told my supervisor, her reaction was, well, we … we hate to see you go for sure but just to … just very supportive and very caring and just appreciate the … the support and the flexibility that … that Sharp has given me to be able to pursue my passion.
I’m in my master’s program right now. I’m about halfway through that at this point and … and I know that at Sharp HealthCare there’s going to be leadership opportunities and potential for me in the future. I would work nowhere else here in San Diego but … but Sharp HealthCare. It’s just a wonderful organization to work for.
I truly believe in … in what Sharp HealthCare stands for, The Sharp Experience, really … it really comes down to that … that compassion and that support and that personal connection and … and the emotion that’s brought into that. The organization truly walks the talk.
