Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion Novalis-Shaped Beam Surgical Suite Virtual Tour

Sharp Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Institute offers the Novalis® Shaped Beam Surgery device at Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion. The state-of-the-art, non-invasive precision radiotherapy treatment is used to treat patients with brain tumors, as well as other types of cancers including prostate cancer. This treatment methodology allows the radiation therapist to deliver a lethal radiation dose to the tumor while minimizing the radiation exposure to the surrounding tissue. Sharp was the first in San Diego to offer this medical technology and treats about 150 patients each year.
