About Us

For 20 years, Sharp Vista Pacifica has provided treatment for substance abuse in a supportive, structured, homelike setting. Sharp Vista Pacifica is a 14-bed chemical dependency hospital that offers a range of personalized programs, including medically supervised detoxification and rehabilitation, evening outpatient sessions and aftercare programs.

Treatment Philosophy
We recognize that chemical dependency is a primary, progressive, potentially fatal and chronic life problem that can be arrested but not cured. Abstinence from mood-altering drugs will interrupt the process of addiction and allow for healing. Continued abstinence from mood-altering drugs is a primary goal of treatment. Other goals include:

  • Identify problems and patterns that affect long-term recovery and develop plans to overcome them
  • Improve general emotion and physical well being
  • Increase patient (family/significant others) understanding and acceptance of addiction
  • Introduce and facilitate involvement into self-help groups for the patient
  • Reduce patient denial mechanisms
