*These images were created for viewing at 800 by 600 resolution on a 16-inch monitor. They will appear larger or smaller depending upon display size and resolution. However, the relative size of the detected tumor will remain consistent.
Performing more than 26,000 mammograms per year, Sharp has the expertise and state-of-the-art equipment to administer everything from yearly screening mammography to the most complex diagnostic procedures, including additional mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound-guided breast core biopsy and breast MRI, when warranted.
Digital Mammography
Digital mammography is the latest diagnostic technology available and provides highly precise and rapid scans for the radiologist. This new technology uses computer and specially designed digital detectors to produce an image that can be displayed ona high-resolution computer monitor, and transmitted and stored just like computer files. This allows radiologists to view the X-ray images in a matter of seconds.
