Baby Care Basics Class

All in-person prenatal classes, hospital tours, and outpatient support groups are canceled until further notice. In the meantime, we are offering this class via a live webinar. Please register for an upcoming date below.
Learn all the basic baby care you need to know before heading home with your newborn. In this class, you will practice diapering, dressing, and swaddling baby dolls. Other topics covered will include:
- Basic infant care
- Characteristics of a newborn
- Infant nutrition
- Signs and symptoms of illness
- Crying
- Bathing
- Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- Basic car-seat safety

Special Instructions
Student Observation: If you are not an expectant parent and need to observe a class, approval must be obtained prior to attendance. Please be advised that any paid registration for observation purposes will not be refunded. To obtain approval, please call 1-800-82-SHARP and you will be referred to the appropriate location.
Presenter Information
Classes are taught by a certified perinatal educator.
Arrival
For online classes, you can attend via computer or mobile device (smartphone or tablet). You will be sent login instructions in a separate email from your registration confirmation. Please make sure to review the instructions in advance so that you are ready to log in at the start time of the class.
