This two-hour class is designed for registered nurses, respiratory care practitioners and the rapid response nursing team at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. Attendees will learn how to operate and troubleshoot the GE monitors and how to monitor patients using capnography.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate troubleshooting techniques for carbon dioxide monitoring
- Discuss rationale for monitoring with continuous carbon dioxide for patient safety
- Identify common end tidal carbon dioxide waveforms
