Sharp HealthCare, the official health and wellness partner of the City of San Diego, is offering the city employees free monthly virtual workshops for the remainder of the calendar year. Employee workshops were previously held in City of San Diego facilities and were moved online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and related prevention measures.

Boost Your Brain Health

Time: Noon to 1 pm
Description: During the stay-at-home orders issued as COVID-19 spread across the globe, many people found themselves trying to manage a perfect storm of stress, isolation, changes to the way they live and work, and other extreme or unanticipated challenges. All of these things can affect memory and cognition for everyone, each and every day. Attend a free health workshop to learn about the three specific areas you can work on to slow cognitive decline.

Nutrition Basics: Eat Better, Think Better, Feel Better in the New Year
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 9
Time: Noon to 1 pm
Description: What you eat largely impacts the way your body functions. Eating poorly or well can make a big difference on both the physical and mental aspects of your body. Eating a healthy diet affects your body in a positive way. You'll notice you feel better and seem to function better. Attend a free health workshop to learn information about the importance of a balanced diet, types of fat, fiber and fruits and vegetables.
