Make the transition from pet parent to baby parent as joyful and stress free as possible.

Presented by Sharp Mary Birch Hospital
Dogs & Storks offers positive, practical and fun solutions to prepare your family for life with a dog and new baby under one roof. You will learn about the subtle language of dogs, how to recognize “grumble and growl zones,” ways to handle your dog before and after the baby arrives and what type of supervision is expected with children and dogs. Additionally, we will help debunk myths and address common concerns to help facilitate a smooth transition for when a new baby comes home.
Dogs & Storks is appropriate for any type of household, whether you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, in the adoption process or are a grandparent, aunt or uncle who has infants visiting. The workshop is also designed for childcare providers and educators. We strongly recommend taking this class a minimum of four months before welcoming baby.
This class is offered at a 20 percent discount for Sharp employees and volunteers. Please call 1-800-82-SHARP (1-800-827-4277), Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm, to register.
