EMR Cerner Training: Barcoding for Medication Administration
This two-hour class is open to Sharp HealthCare registered nurses who administer medications.

This one-time training class provides newly hired Sharp HealthCare registered nurses with instructions on the barcoding for safety medication administration process. It will give them a chance to practice barcoding medication with two devices and will also address how to handle a variety of warning and message dialogs that they may encounter during this process.

Parking Information
Free visitor parking is available from the lot entrance on Spectrum Center Boulevard. Employee parking is available in the front, back and side of the Spectrum building. The four entrances on Tech Way require an activated employee badge.
Special Instructions
Nurses who have previously taken EMR Cerner Training: NHT for ED or Non-ED RNs should not enroll in this course as the same information has already been covered. Please contact the EMR Training Department directly with questions.
Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified prior to the class and you will have the opportunity to attend another date.
CEUs
This course has been provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider No. 70) for 3.0 contact hours.
At the end of the class, you will complete a medication barcoding competency, which will be forwarded to your unit manager.
