Feeding San Diego is the largest hunger-relief organization in the county, distributing healthy food and providing nutrition education to local residents who are struggling with hunger. The nonprofit organization is one of more than 200 member food banks comprising Feeding America, which provides four billion meals to families, children, seniors and others at risk of hunger each year.
The Sharp Lends a Hand team is looking for volunteers to help Feeding San Diego in its warehouse and distribution center. All projects are geared around bagging, boxing and distributing food.

How do I obtain a Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirt?
The Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirts are not event-specific, so if you have volunteered in a past event, you don't need to obtain another T-shirt. If you are volunteering for the first time, you may pick up your T-shirt at Spectrum by going to the second floor and following the signs to the T-shirt location. We have sizes ranging from child medium to adult XXXL.
The Spectrum building is open from 6 am to 6 pm and you must have your Sharp ID for access into the building. If you cannot come to Spectrum, please arrange to have a Sharp employee pick one up for you. Unfortunately, we cannot interoffice mail the shirts.
Can I bring my children?
Sharp HealthCare encourages our team members to bring their families to our volunteer events whenever possible. Due to safety reasons, children under the age of 6 may not volunteer for this event. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. To obtain a community service certificate for your child’s school, email Sharp Lends a Hand after the event.
