Have fun and move to the music through a variety of gentle exercises designed to improve muscular strength, range of movement and activities of daily living. Participants will be seated throughout the class and will use exercise tools, including elastic bands and therapeutic exercise balls.
Caregivers are welcome to attend for free to provide assistance as needed.

Visitors may park in front of the hospital. Valet parking is available at the main hospital entrance on Prospect Place, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. Free validation is provided to patients and visitors arriving at the hospital for emergency services, surgery, lab tests, rehabilitation therapy and other hospital needs.
Attend 10 group exercise classes at the Sewall Healthy Living Center and receive your 11th class for free.

Cynthia Mendiola teaches Gentle Fitness on Tuesdays, as well as Chair Yoga Flow, Healing Yoga and Simple Yoga. She is an ACE-certified personal trainer.
Shannon Tormoen is the Thursday instructor and has a bachelor of science degree in corporate fitness.
This class will run for approximately 40 minutes. Class times and dates are subject to change.
If this is your first group exercise class at the Sewall Healthy Living Center, you must arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out a health questionnaire and a waiver/release of liability form.
If you have previously taken a personal training session or been a gym member at the Healthy Living Center, you do not have to fill out the forms again.
Please wear comfortable exercise clothing and athletic shoes. You should also bring a towel and water in a spill-proof bottle.
