If you've ever had to visit the emergency room, then you probably know that it can be a traumatic and stressful experience for anyone, especially older adults.
Attend this free workshop to learn about the specialized care that older adults will receive when using emergency services at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, including comprehensive assessments and coordination of care from the beginning of your visit.
The presenter will also talk about the changes the hospital has made to the care environment to ensure a more comfortable visit where seniors feel encouraged to be open about their medical concerns and living environments.
These changes to standard emergency department care have resulted in shortened length of stay, reduced risk of complications related to hospitalization and increased opportunities to live independently at home for as long as possible.
