This class is required for all Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center registered nurses who work in critical care departments.
Participants complete the annual Emergency Standing Orders Exam (ESO) and run a mock Code Blue situation. In addition, each nurse will have to demonstrate competence in using a Zoll monitor and completing appropriate documentation associated with the Code Blue event.

Parking is available in the structures at the front and back of the main hospital, as well as in the large lot behind the main hospital. Paid valet parking is available to patients and visitors Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm.
Each validation session is limited to eight or 16 participants. No double time is allowed. Please make sure that you are not working the night prior to or the night of your scheduled ESO day.
Classes are coordinated by Christina M. Kelley, MSN, RN-BC, AGCNS-BC, CCRN-K, CNE, NE-BC, who is a clinical lead nurse in the MICU/SICU at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center.
All participating nurses are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the class start time. If you are more than five minutes late, you will be asked to reschedule to another available date/time.
