This Neonatal Resuscitation Program class for Sharp HealthCare employees uses an evidence-based approach to teach newborn resuscitation to health care professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, physician assistants and respiratory care practitioners, who have no previous experience.
Completion of the program does not imply that an individual has the competence to perform neonatal resuscitation.
This class is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Health Association (AHA) International Guidelines for Emergency Cardiovascular Care of the Newborn.
All students must complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (7th Edition) online course material and online written examination in the Sharp Learning Center prior to the date of their instructor-led event (in-person skills testing).
After registering, the NRP online course will be loaded into your Learning Center by the end of the next business day (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). You must start the online course before you will be able to register for your in-person skills testing. Please note that there is a pretest/self-assessment that must be completed in the part 1 online course material before you will have access to the modules.
Participants will receive a two-year electronic course completion card (e-card) from the AAP after their instructor-led event (in-person skills testing).
