Nutrition and healthy eating is an important part of the cancer treatment. Eating the right foods can help you feel better and stay stronger.
This class is designed to teach cancer patients and their loved ones how the illness and its treatment can impact appetite, ability to tolerate certain foods and the way the body digests food and absorbs nutrients.
A registered dietitian will review basic nutrition guidelines and meal planning strategies and introduce a dietary intervention to manage the side effects of cancer treatment.
Light refreshments, including water, will be provided.

Parking is available structure on Health Center Drive. Please bring your parking ticket to class to have it validated.
This class is open to any cancer patient who is currently receiving or has just finished treatment at a Sharp or non-Sharp facility. Family members and friends of the patient may also attend.
Angelea Bruce, RD, CNSC, CSO, is an advanced practitioner and registered dietitian with certification specialty in oncology. She provides nutritional counseling and education for patients at the Sharp Outpatient Pavilion Cancer Center and has experience in home health dietary consultation and tube feedings.
