Sharp Lends a Hand volunteers will work side by side with PWI’s clients to assist with product assembly in their Work and Training Center. A brief overview of PWI conducted by a member of its executive team will be included.

What to Bring plus

  • Dress comfortably and wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and your Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirt. Open-toe shoes, heels or sandals are not permitted.
  • Please leave purses, jewelry and other valuables at home. Sharp HealthCare and PWI will not be responsible for any missing personal belongings.
  • PWI will provide water, soda and coffee. Outside food and drinks are not permitted during your shift.

How do I obtain a Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirt?
The Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirts are not event-specific, so if you have volunteered in a past event, you don't need to obtain another T-shirt. If you are volunteering for the first time, you may pick up your T-shirt at Spectrum by going to the second floor and following the signs to the T-shirt location. We have sizes ranging from child medium to adult XXXL.

The Spectrum building is open from 6 am to 6 pm and you must have your Sharp ID for access into the building. If you cannot come to Spectrum, please arrange to have a Sharp employee pick one up for you. Unfortunately, we cannot interoffice mail the shirts.

Can I bring my children?
Sharp HealthCare encourages our team members to bring their families to our volunteer events whenever possible, however, children under the age of 18 may not volunteer for this event.

For more information, please review the Partnerships with Industry FAQs page on SharpNET or email Sharp Lends a Hand.
