Presented by Sharp HealthCare plus

Each year, Promises2Kids provides over 3,300 current and former foster youth in San Diego County with the tools and guidance they need to address the circumstances that brought them into foster care. The organization helps them overcome the difficulties of their past and grow into healthy, happy and successful adults.

The Sharp Lends a Hand team is partnering with Promises2Kids by supporting its holiday gift-giving program. Volunteers will help Promises2Kids inventory, sort and prepare gifts to be distributed to foster youth.

How do I obtain a Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirt?
The Sharp Lends a Hand T-shirts are not event-specific, so if you have volunteered in a past event, you don't need to obtain another T-shirt. If you are volunteering for the first time, you may pick up your T-shirt at Spectrum by going to the second floor and following the signs to the T-shirt location. We have sizes ranging from child medium to adult XXXL.

The Spectrum building is open from 6 am to 6 pm and you must have your Sharp ID for access into the building. If you cannot come to Spectrum, please arrange to have a Sharp employee pick one up for you. Unfortunately, we cannot interoffice mail the shirts.

Can I bring my children?
Sharp HealthCare encourages our team members to bring their families to our volunteer events whenever possible. Children are welcome to volunteer for this activity, but please make sure they are registered. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. To obtain a community service certificate for your child’s school, email Sharp Lends a Hand after the event.

For more information, please review the Promises2Kids FAQs page on SharpNET or email Sharp Lends a Hand.
