Qigong is an ancient Chinese art of generating energy for health, mental clarity and spiritual fulfillment. It combines gentle physical movements with synchronized breathing and meditation.
In this educational forum, participants will explore the history and cultural beliefs of the art, evaluate individual stressors in their lives, and learn the first six forms of Qigong. By the end of the course, participants will be able to practice efficiently on their own and derive the full physical, emotional and mental benefits.

Participants should plan to wear comfortable, casual clothing with layering capability to accommodate variable room temperatures.

This course is instructed by Ana Maria Andia, PhD, MD. Dr. Andia is a research biochemist, general internist and psychiatrist with master's-level training in spirituality and mental intuition. She is an 12-year practitioner of the Shaolin Wahnam form of Qigong and offers Level 1 and Level 2 classes.
Lunch is available for purchase at the Sharp Memorial Hospital cafeteria or you may bring your own lunch. Only light refreshments will be provided for this course.
This course is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider No. 70) for 6.0 contact hours. Partial credit will not be issued.
