This class will focus on the ancient Chinese art of Qigong, which utilizes coordinated body postures, breathing exercises and meditation to promote healing and increase vitality.
The instructor will guide participants through a series of gentle rhythmic movements. The movements are easy to learn and are adaptable for any fitness level. This class is especially helpful to those looking to improve their posture and balance. Added benefits include learning to reduce stress, build stamina and enhance immunity.

Visitors may park in front of the hospital. Valet parking is available at the main hospital entrance on Prospect Place, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. Free validation is provided to patients and visitors arriving at the hospital for emergency services, surgery, lab tests, rehabilitation therapy and other hospital needs.
If you registered using the City of San Diego employee discount, please remember to bring your employee identification badge with you to class.
Mondays: George Montes, CMT, is a licensed massage therapist at Sharp Coronado Hospital. He also has experience as a rehabilitation aide, Reiki practitioner and has his master's degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine.
Fridays: Noel Tarver is a licensed acupuncturist at Sharp Coronado Hospital.
This class will run for approximately 50 minutes. Class times and dates are subject to change.
If this is your first group exercise class at the Sewall Healthy Living Center, you must arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out a health questionnaire and a waiver/release of liability form.
If you have previously taken a personal training session or been a gym member at the Healthy Living Center, you do not have to fill out the forms again.
Please wear comfortable exercise clothing and athletic shoes. You should also bring a towel and water in a spill-proof bottle.
