Sharp Neurocognitive Research Center Memory Screenings (Evaluaciones de Memoria)

Fee: Free

In the United States, more than 6 million people live with Alzheimer's disease and about one-third of those with mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's develop dementia within five years of diagnosis. If you are African American or Latino, studies have shown that you are about twice as likely to develop Alzheimer's or other dementias.

If you are concerned about changes in your memory, the Sharp Neurocognitive Research Center is offering free screenings to help detect early signs of memory loss and other cognitive issues.

During the screening, experienced specialists will discuss memory concerns, review medical history and perform specialized tests to measure memory and other brain functions. Results may indicate whether further evaluation is needed or provide a baseline for future testing.

Screenings can be conducted in English or Spanish, but advance registration is required. Please note that these screenings are limited to people age 55 and over.
