10 steps to achieving optimal health

Who doesn't want to keep their body and mind in tip-top shape? We all start off with the best of intentions, but sometimes life — work, family, travel, busy schedules — gets in the way.

The road to optimal health isn't always smooth; there can be twists and turns, setbacks and dead ends. These 10 basic steps to build healthy habits and resilience can help you stay on track.

1. Wash your hands.
