3 simple yoga exercises (video)

Aug. 29, 2016

Yoga has been around for more than 5,000 years. This low-impact and slow-paced exercise — with benefits like improved respiration, muscle strength and flexibility — is perfect for any person at any age. However, some yoga poses can be intimidating to those with limited mobility.

Sharp Coronado yoga instructor and personal trainer Cynthia Mendolia teaches a beginner Simple Yoga Class that uses a chair and modified poses that still release core tension and leave individuals feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed.

In the above video, Mendolia shares three easy yoga exercises that anyone can do to help restore natural energy flow and open the body for the day’s activities. Wrapping oneself like a pretzel is not required.

Learn more or sign up for an upcoming Balance, Strength and Flexibility class at Sharp Coronado Hospital.
