Healthier Bananas Foster
For that popular sweet and salty flavor, sprinkle some finishing salt on top.
Yields 1 serving
1 banana (slightly underripe), sliced
2 tablespoons honey, combined with 1/2 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
Low-fat Greek frozen yogurt or ice cream (optional)
In a medium non-stick pan, evenly arrange bananas. Over medium heat, brown for 2 minutes on one side.
Add honey and water mixture to the pan to caramelize. Flip each banana slice and brown the other side for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Add cooked bananas on top of low-fat vanilla ice cream or Greek frozen yogurt and enjoy.
