This simple recipe requires just three ingredients — frozen bananas, coconut milk and matcha powder. Blend and enjoy right away or keep it in your freezer for up to a month.
Matcha “Nice” Cream
For those with lactose intolerance, this nondairy ice cream recipe is a healthy treat.
- 3 bananas, frozen
- 1 tablespoon coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons matcha (green tea) powder
Step 1: Mix and Blend
Using a food processor, blend the bananas until it looks like soft-serve ice cream. Add the coconut milk and matcha powder and blend until thoroughly mixed.
Step 2: Set and Serve
If your preference is a soft-serve consistency, dish out directly from the food processor.
If you prefer a firmer consistency, freeze for a few hours. Before serving, let the frozen “nice” cream thaw at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Save and Store
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
