The special bond between patient and caregiver can make the unknown feel more manageable and help soothe nerves before a visit or procedure.
Sharp patient Aaron Ellsworth and Sean Guerra, a medical assistant with Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers, met when Ellsworth visited the clinic for a routine procedure. As Ellsworth sat, scared and nervous, Guerra stepped in to literally lend a hand. These two have since developed a special bond.
After receiving such personalized care, Ellsworth wanted to recognize his caregiver, so he nominated Guerra as a SharpStar, highlighting the impact he made on his medical experience.
The SharpStar program has been in place for more than 15 years and offers a wonderful opportunity for patients to recognize Sharp Rees-Stealy employees and care providers for outstanding service.

SharpStar nomination forms are available at all Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers.
