At Sharp Rees-Stealy, the safety and well-being of our patients and staff is our top priority.
Most health insurance plans have waived cost-sharing for video and telephone visits during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for non-COVID-19 related telemedicine visits, some health plans have not waived patient responsibility. These copay, coinsurance and deductible costs are similar to those for in-person offices visits and will be billed to you.
Patients who have selected Sharp Rees-Stealy as their provider under a contracted HMO plan will have no copays or deductibles for telehealth visits. Please check with your insurance company for details.

Video and phone visits with your doctor
At Sharp Rees-Stealy, we are proud to offer a variety of doctor's appointments from the convenience of your smartphone, computer or tablet.
If you have a medical concern or require a follow-up appointment — and you'd like to save a trip to the doctor's office — a video or phone visit may be right for you. Plus, you'll be able to connect with your doctor from wherever is most convenient for you.
Video and phone visits are ideal for follow-up appointments and for certain medical conditions, such as:
- Sore throat
- Medication management and questions
- Depression and anxiety
- Skin rash or infection
- Bug bites
- Cuts and wounds
- Eye problems
- Joint problems
- Minor burns/sunburn
- Sinus problems
- Sprains and injuries
You are eligible for video or phone visits if you:
- Are a patient of a Sharp Rees-Stealy doctor who offers video or phone visits
- Have been seen by that doctor in the last 12 months
If you meet the above criteria, simply ask if you may schedule a video or phone visit when you make your next appointment. As an added convenience, you may use FollowMyHealth® to schedule a video visit. FollowMyHealth is a patient portal owned and operated by Allscripts, Inc., and provided by Sharp Rees-Stealy as a service for patients. Copayments may apply depending on your health plan.

After-hours medical advice over the phone
When you have a health question or concern after regular business hours, a single phone call to our Nurse Connection® service puts you in touch with a registered nurse who can help you determine the most appropriate treatment.
