For free medical advice or to decide if a doctor’s appointment is necessary, you can speak with one of our nurse practitioners or physician assistants, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Simply call 858-499-2600 and select to speak to a nurse or physician assistant from the menu options.
Medical advice about your child.
As a parent of a pediatric patient, you can call for free medical advice or to decide if a doctor's appointment is necessary for your child. You can speak with one of our pediatric nurse practitioners from 8 to 11:30 am, Monday through Friday. Simply call 858-499-2701 and select to speak to a nurse practitioner from the menu options.
After-hours medical advice.
When you have a health question or concern after regular business hours, a single phone call to our Nurse Connection® service puts you in touch with a registered nurse who can help you determine the most appropriate treatment. To speak to a nurse after hours or on the weekend, please call 1-800-767-4277.
If you are a Sharp Rees-Stealy patient with HMO coverage, select physicians offer over-the-phone appointments. These visits are ideal for certain medical conditions and for follow-up appointments. When you call to make an appointment with your doctor, simply ask if you may schedule a telehealth visit. Copayments may apply depending on your health plan.
