I chose to pursue medicine because I wanted to be able to help and educate people. I believe the health care discussion requires shared decision-making, and taking the time to listen to each patient is vital in order to recommend the best treatment options. Dr DeLellis listened to my concern re my request for lab workup to test my thyroid levels as I was concerned about hair loss and fatigue. She asked the appropriate questions for my concern and ordered the labs to check not only my thyroid but a complete work up to be thorough. It was my first time seeing Dr DeLellis and she welcomed me and made me feel comfortable she was kind and courteous as well. She called me to relate the results of my labs as soon as she received them and discussed them with me the same afternoon of my appointment with her. I'm pleased with my new PCP!
