This one-day program is designed for nurses and respiratory care practitioners. It includes didactic classroom learning on precepting and is designed for the nurse who is new in the role of precepting. The instructors will review the essential components of role modeling, educating, facilitating and evaluating the progress of a unit-based preceptor program. Utilizing common precepting scenarios and situations, both large and small workshop group discussion will also be incorporated.

Free visitor parking is available from the lot entrance on Spectrum Center Boulevard. Employee parking is available in the front, back and side of the Spectrum building. The four entrances on Tech Way require an activated employee badge.
The class will take place from 9:45 am to 4:30 pm during the month of February, and 8 am to 4:30 pm the rest of the year.
Please arrive early to allow for time to find parking and check in at the class.
Remember to bring your RN license number to the class to receive your CEU credit.
This course is provider-approved by the California Board of Nursing (Provider No. 70) for 7.0 contact hours.
