At Sharp HospiceCare, hospice is more than end-of-life support. It's about comfort, compassion and giving every patient the best possible quality of life. 

That’s why we offer unique, home-like residences devoted solely to patients and their families — a warm environment, paired with skill and compassionate care, when it counts the most.

A home filled with love, care and kindness

The thoughtfully designed home features six private patient bedrooms, inviting family spaces, a shared kitchen, and peaceful outdoor gardens, all created to offer comfort, connection and a true sense of home.

Through ENVISION: The Campaign for Sharp HealthCare, Grossmont Hospital Foundation committed to raising $6.6 million to bring this vision to life.

With a transformational leadership gift from Lori Moore, RN and the Cushman Foundation, and the support of more than 1,200 generous philanthropic partners, the campaign exceeded its goal, raising an extraordinary $7.3 million to fully fund Moore MountainView Hospice Home. This remarkable achievement reflects the community’s deep commitment to ensuring compassionate end-of-life care for all who need it.

An extraordinary milestone of ENVISION was achieved with the dedication and ribbon cutting of Moore MountainView Hospice Home on June 23, 2025. The home welcomed its first patients in June 2026, officially opening its doors to serve families in North County.

With the addition of Moore MountainView, Sharp HospiceCare now operates 20 inpatient hospice beds across its homes in La Mesa, Del Cerro, Bonita and Poway, making Sharp the only hospice provider in San Diego County offering inpatient care at this scale.

The Memory Tree at Moore MountainView is an elegant wall sculpture in the home’s backyard retreat, serving as a lasting recognition of Sharp HospiceCare donors and friends. The Memory Tree “grows” with the generosity and commitment of the community.
