Learn all the basic baby care you need to know before heading home with your newborn. At this class you will practice diapering, dressing and swaddling baby dolls. Other topics covered will include:
- Basic infant care
- Characteristics of a newborn
- Infant nutrition
- Signs and symptoms of illness
- Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- Basic car-seat safety

Student Observation: If you are not an expectant parent and need to observe a class, approval must be obtained prior to attendance. Please be advised that any paid registration for observation purposes will not be refunded. To obtain approval, please call 1-800-82-SHARP and you will be referred to the appropriate location.
Classes are taught by a certified perinatal educator.
For online classes, you can attend via computer or mobile device (smartphone or tablet). You will be sent login instructions in a separate email from your registration confirmation.
