This in-person renewal AVADE level I-III class is for Behavioral Health staff who are currently AVADE certified. This class will review AVADE basics and Sharp system events and statistics. Students will engage in activities to apply AVADE knowledge and skills to actual workplace violence events and practice AVADE self-defense moves and defensive control tactics.

Parking Information
Please park in the staff lot at Grossmont Medical Terrace or in the Brier Patch parking lot.
Special Instructions
Please note that if you did not attend your previous AVADE certification at Sharp Healthcare, you will need to provide proof of current AVADE certification to attend this class.
In order to get the completion certificate for this training, you are expected to participate, and return demonstrate AVADE Level II and III skills taught and practiced in the class. If you are unable to participate in the hands-on portion of the class, please consult with your supervisor.
Arrival
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before start time of class. Individuals arriving 10 minutes late or more may be asked to reschedule.
What to Bring
After registering, you will be sent a learning module to complete via Workday. Complete this module, print the certificate and bring to class.
Please wear clothing that will allow reaching, bending and freedom of movement.
