Children and Family Cancer Support Group
This free online support group is designed to help kids cope with having an adult loved one with cancer.
Presented by Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center
Cancer is hard on everyone, including the kids. Join us for a fun, safe and supportive group designed to help kids talk with, listen to and meet with others who understand the unique and difficult reality of having a parent or adult family member with cancer.
This group allows time for kids and parents to meet both together and apart so kids can express themselves in ways that may be difficult to do in front of their parents. They will also learn coping skills to help them manage worries both at home and at school.
This support group will take place virtually through Mend. Registration is required since each session is limited to 10 families. Please contact Guillermo Haro Miramontes at 619-502-3204 or via email at Guillermo.haromiramontes@sharp.com to enroll.
