The fear of falling is common among older people. The good news is that 40% of falls are preventable.
A Sharp Rees-Stealy physical therapist leads this online class designed for anyone who has fallen before or has a fear or concern about falling. The webinar includes a PowerPoint presentation, an exercise demonstration, and techniques to get up from the floor in case you fall. There will also be plenty of time for questions.
By attending this class, you will be able to:
- Identify changes that occur with aging and how to reduce your risk of falling associated with these changes
- Identify hazards inside and outside the home that can cause falls
- Learn exercises to reduce the risk of falling
