Sharp HealthCare offers two free support groups for men and women living with any type of advanced cancer.
The group that meets at the Barnhart Cancer Center is facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker and is open to anyone who is living with stage IV, metastatic or chronic cancer. Various topics will be discussed including thoughts and feelings related to having an incurable cancer, death and dying, finding support, staying hopeful and more. It is also a safe place to talk about whatever else may be on your mind.
The group at Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion is led by a medical social worker and is for patients with metastatic cancer to share experiences and information with each other. The small group discussion focuses on the challenges of living with advanced cancer, including purpose, fear, family and transitions.
Registration is required prior to attending.
