Lunch and Learn Cancer Education Webinars
This free online educational series is open to current cancer patients and survivors as well as their caregivers. Each month a different topic on how to live with and survive cancer will be discussed. Previous topics include the benefits of yoga, creating a wellness plan, life beyond cancer, stress management and wills and advance directives.
A licensed clinical social worker facilitates this group with help from a variety of guest speakers such as dietitians, physicians and pharmacists. A question-and-answer period is also included.
Tuesday, April 6: Dealing With Cancer and Loved Ones
It can be hard to know how to communicate and support one another under the best of circumstances, and a challenging life experience like cancer can make relationships very interesting to navigate. Different points of view, different expectations, and different ways of coping can make for a bumpy road on the way to getting the support and connection that we need on this cancer journey. This class offers insights and strategies for cancer patients dealing with complicated relationships.
