Do you find yourself stressed out? Feeling overwhelmed? This free 20-minute class uses mindful meditation to help reduce stress and headaches, decrease heart rate, assist in coping with chronic physical or emotional pain and improve focus and a sense of well-being. The class includes instructor-guided meditation, imagery, body scans and mindful breathing exercises.

Visitors may park in front of the hospital. Valet parking is available at the main hospital entrance on Prospect Place, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm. Free validation is provided to patients and visitors arriving at the hospital for emergency services, surgery, lab tests, rehabilitation therapy and other hospital needs.
Jenny Driessen is a certified yoga instructor, who teaches meditation, Vinyasa yoga, yoga with weights and cardio circuits at studios throughout San Diego. She instructs all her classes with the same intention — to strengthen the body both mentally and physically and to live a more mindful, meaningful life.
This class will be 20 minutes long, beginning at 4:45 pm and running until just after 5 pm.
If this is your first group exercise class at the Sewall Healthy Living Center, you must arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out a health questionnaire and a waiver/release of liability form before participating. Forms are available at the Healthy Living Center on the third floor of the main hospital or you may call 619-522-3798 and ask to have them emailed to you.
If you have previously taken a personal training session or been a gym member at the Healthy Living Center, you do not have to fill out the forms again.
