If you're a first responder or receiver, attend this daylong class designed to help you address the personal elements of the recovery tenet of emergency management. You will learn to identify the signs of post-traumatic stress and how to cope with personal challenges that no one may have anticipated.
At this class, you will learn:
- How to identify symptoms of post-traumatic stress
- Coping mechanisms to assist you in day-to-day responsibilities
- Immediate, intermediate and long-term recovery needs

This class is intended for first responders and receivers such as health care workers, law enforcement officers, fire department personnel, dispatchers, investigators and anyone else who may respond to a catastrophic event.
Continuing education units will be offered, however, the exact amount of contact hours has yet to be determined.
