The Sharp Equality Alliance (SEA) understands the importance of giving our team members a safe, confidential space to come together and have their voices heard. SEA has partnered with the Sharp Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to offer a series of virtual support sessions called "Safe Speak."
Safe Speak began in 2020 as a way to give Black team members at Sharp and their colleagues a safe, confidential space to come together after the murder of George Floyd and the subsequent protests. Since then, virtual sessions have evolved to supportive discussions related to physical and psychological safety, the well-being of groups and communities targeted by violence or misrepresentation, pandemic-related stress, and issues related to community and world events.
In these discussion forums, participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers, speak openly, find support, brainstorm solutions and share their unique experiences navigating the world. Safe Speak provides our colleagues an opportunity to share how they're experiencing this time, both professionally and personally.
Participation in Safe Speak sessions is on a voluntary basis and is not presumed work time. All employees are welcome to attend.
