This initial level I/II class is designed to provide training to help you prevent violence in the workplace via a program known as AVADE (awareness, vigilance, avoidance, defense, escape/environment).

This training offers informative, proactive strategies and interventions that can help prevent and mitigate fear, conflict and aggression, while creating a culture of safety. The class is comprehensive and relevant to stop escalation and reduce risk of injury to staff.

You will receive training strategies and techniques to mitigate escalated and violent behavior through proactive communication skills and techniques for real-world escalated situations. The class will also cover workplace violence, verbal de-escalation techniques and self-defense tactics.

This class is recommended for all Sharp employees.
