About Gabrielle Fazio, NP

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a passionate spirit for helping others. Becoming a nurse was a natural pursuit and quickly became my life's calling. As I gained experience, including working in the emergency department through the COVID-19 pandemic, I knew I was ready to take on greater responsibility within nursing, and becoming a nurse practitioner seemed like the best fit. Since then, I have grown immensely as a provider and truly feel that my calling in life is to help others as an NP. In Italian culture, family means everything, and we will do whatever it takes to ensure our family is well fed, well loved and well cared for. This philosophy drives my practice of medicine every day. I treat every patient as if they are a member of my family, and I use my education and experience to provide the absolute best care possible. With my background as a nurse, I understand that people are not just a collection of disease processes but holistic beings shaped by memories, experiences and values unique to each individual. I'm a strong believer in evidence-based medicine rooted in cutting edge science, with an emphasis on nutrition and exercise counseling and promoting access to resources for the most vulnerable of patients. To me, being a good health care provider means being a good listener, a strong advocate and a trustworthy partner in the pursuit of lifelong health. In my spare time, you can find me living my best life here in sunny San Diego. I love taking my two chocolate labs, Marlowe and Moose, to the beach and on hikes. Singing is another passion of mine, and you can pretty much always hear music when I'm around. I enjoy cooking, especially making my nonna's recipes. I'm also big into fitness and enjoy lifting weights, running and practicing yoga.
