Microsoft Teams and Stream have recording functionality that may only be utilized for the following business cases:

• Education

• Meeting minutes

• Troubleshooting of Sharp computers

When a recording session begins, participants are notified the recording is active via a banner in the Teams’ window. Sharp guidelines are to verbally announce that you are beginning a recording session to ensure participants are made aware.

It is not recommended to record sessions that contain protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable information (PII). Please refer to the Sharp's policies and procedures on PolicyStat if recording PHI and PII are required.

Sharp has contracted with PolicyStat, an outside vendor, specializing in health care related policy and procedure management software. Sign in to PolicyStat to search for a policy.
