Dr. Ortega gave me so much of her time. She talked through every concern I expressed and was thoughtful and kind and provided helpful information. I appreciate her great care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ortega's for several years now....she is the one that found, and started treatment for my aortic regurgitation (Resulting in valve replacement surgery) therefore I believe there is a good chance that I would have a catastrophic event....stroke, heart attack possible death if it was not for hers, and Sharp healthcare's intervention! I will always listen to her, take her advice and will never disagree with her assessment, I diligently follow her advice. She exemplifies what I see in your commercials about personalized caring treatment!!!! She is awesome. What I think is a strong point of hers is the way she talks with her patients....well me at least :) she does her yearly review and talks with you about your health.....she does not interrogate or interview you, she talks with you, During my last visit all was going well, talking of exercise, rest, medication all was great until she asked me about my diet....I had to admit I ffelt like I was letting her down when I admitted I did not take much effort at improving it....We again had a nice discussion and she suggested more fresh fruits, and veggies.....which I am doing now. I went on a little longer here than I thought...I have been healthy my entire life, then suddenly to be told I had had to have open heart surgery was an eye opener.....It was good, when my eyes opened I saw such a caring team of medical professionals!!!!!
