After Dr. Schneider showed up 40 minutes late to the first appointment of the day, he took it out on us (my husband attended). He walked in, slammed the paper (notes prepared to get him up to speed), and said YOU need to pick one of these issues (not a list of issues but medical treatment since we last spoke). He was rude, unprofessional, and had NO compassion (unlike how he had been before). Being late, did he even review the notes with my complex situation? He berated and belittled fellow Sharp medical personnel I had seen ranting about tests done and how he would see my nurse practitioner's license taken away and he was the authority (complete god complex). He is supposed to be a metabolic star, yet offered no help on how to get out of insulin resistance following Cushings. When I explained several diets tried and issue with pain feet/legs in regard to exercise, he only referred me to a neuro I can't go to with my insurance and washed his hands of me. When asked about my thyroid meds and the possible FDA change I asked if I should stay on NP thyroid or switch to synthetic he said "only if you are a pig". How very sad to treat another human, especially in physical pain from doctor-induced Cushings and depressed from severe weight gain that evidently I am a pig? This doctor only caused additional medical trauma. I can only look back and be grateful for his previous help getting me off steroids and having some compassion at that time. My husband and I were in a state of shock at the whole appointment and pray whatever pain he caused me and other patients, does not happen again.
