I chose a career in medicine because I want to help people feel better when they are sick and help them stay healthy. I strive to provide the best medical care I can as a family physician. I want to help my patients live healthier lives, help their physical healing during times of sickness, and provide emotional support during times of distress. I like to spend time with family, hike in the canyons and walk on the beach. I also enjoy swimming and running.

But not with 20 minute appointments. This is extremely uncompassionate to anyone actually in that room - myself, Dr. Hsu, the nurses, etc. You need to severely consider your practices. Yes, healthcare is a business just like any other, and while I don't want most of the products that you sell (like excessive screenings just to make sure that I am indeed healthy), the conditions that you are forcing the providers to work under Is unacceptable. I don't like seeing It, I don't like having not enough time, and I'm sure as I age, I'm going to need far more than 20 freaking minutes. WHAT A JOKE.
