About Claire Wong, MD

I was inspired to become a doctor by my mother and several other family members who worked in medicine, which showed me the profound impact physicians can have on people's lives. Their example led me to pursue a career where I could meaningfully help others and make a positive difference in my patients' health and well-being. My patient care philosophy centers on treating each patient as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. I believe in partnering with patients to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that support their overall health and long-term well-being. By creating an empathetic, attentive environment where patients feel heard and respected, I aim to build trust and encourage open communication. My goal is to provide compassionate, collaborative care that supports patients at every stage of their health journey. In my free time, I love baking, working on puzzles and exploring new food spots around San Diego, especially when I stumble upon a hidden gem. I also enjoy spending time with my family and traveling with my dog, who I adore and who often joins me on my little adventures.
