The doctor was in the room a short time, but didn't really explain what he was doing or what I should expect from the physical. I had no idea I was getting evaluated for if I could use a respirator at my new job, no one had told me that. The doctor was talking & kind, but he was talking very fast which was hard for me to understand. I left the appointment even more confused.

At THIS particular appointment on July 13th, I left my appointment feeling worried, stressed, sad, and unheard. I felt that the doctor did not seem concerned about how I was feeling or my concerns regarding treatment options.One issue that bothered me was that the doctor had not yet reviewed the official results of my nerve conduction study and instead relied on my understanding of what another provider had told me-that I had moderate carpal tunnel syndrome. I was uncomfortable with treatment decisions being discussed before the official test results had been reviewed.I also asked about conservative treatment options such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, red light therapy, and additional physical therapy. I was disappointed by his response "that shit doesn't work" for moderate carpal tunnel syndrome and that, based on my condition, I needed to be transferred to an orthopedic surgeon.I expressed that I did not want surgery and was hoping to discuss all possible non-surgical options before moving in that direction. Instead, I left the appointment feeling hopeless, more stressed, and not cared for as a patient.

I asked if I could have an evaluation for a concussion based on symptoms I continue to have, dizziness poor balance and foggy brain. He dismissed it. I continue to have these symptoms and they aren't getting any better.
