Dr spent more time than usual, sent to lab but a lot of results abnormal. Dr sent message not to worry but I sm concerned

This was by far the worst visit I ever had with Dr. Altschuler. I came in for a possible umbilical hernia and anxiety problems. He didn't even examine me. I showed him the hernia and he said yeah looks like it but it's nothing you can do about it. I can refer you to a surgeon if you want but they probably won't do anything either. Then when I asked him about my anxiety due to menopause and health problems, he said: here go see a psychiatrist! And he gave me a card! I asked if there was something like an SSRI to help me function during the day and he said as per CA law he couldn't prescribe anything and I had to go see a psychiatrist! TOTAL LIE!! I Received no help that day, left his office crying which he saw and I felt hopeless! He needs to retire! He doesn't care about his patients or maybe just about women in menopause! I will be switching my primary physician for sure. I know there are still good doctors that care:

Was a quick appointment so doctor didnt say much. No time for me to really ask why my blood pressure spiked. He did order t b.p. Meds and I got them right away. So I just had to trust Him.

At first I was disappointed pcp dismissed my severe hand pain as osteoarthritis, however he ordered xray and referral to specialist. DR A. ORDERED A 2ND OPINION FOR MY CARDIAC ISSUE. AFTER YEARS OF SYNCOPE AND BRADYCARDIA I WAS GIVEN A CARDIAC STRESS ECHO. NOW I'M DOING GREAT WITH MY ABBOTT LEADLESS PACEMAKER.
